This image was taken in Doubtful Sound in Fiordland National Park, not far from its partner image Ancient Green.

The sun landed on these soft tree ferns in Doubt Sound, highlighting them amongst the surrounding rainforest. They looked like youngsters being protected by the older, gnarlier trees around them.

Like its partner image, Tree Fern shows the untouched beauty of this part of New Zealand. I hope it also gives the viewer a sense of the peace and tranquility I felt that day in this beautiful place.
